We Have An Education Committee That Goes To Schools And Does Presentations To Children
Owen Mathie, of Ishpeming and Marquette won the Rock tumbler and $25 gift certificate from Kingsley North, in a drawing held at the Annual Ishpeming Rock & Mineral Club's Gem and Mineral Show at the Ishpeming Elks on August 6, 2011. Owen is 8 going on 9 and attends Superior Hills Elementary School in Marquette. He was very anxious to start working with his tumbler and package of minerals supplied by President Bev Trynoski. Over 100 children signed up to be included in the drawing
